Global Mission – RH Mission Viejo

Global Mission

ROCKHARBOR is invested in global causes and organizations around the world. Whether it is through financial giving from First Fruits or teams being sent out to different countries, we want to be a church that continues to think, pray, and invest in the global church as well as reaching others that have never heard of Jesus.

ROCKHARBOR Mission Viejo has chosen to partner with the country of Guatemala, specifically a cluster of six communities called El Pueblito, near the city Cobán. We have chosen to partner with an organization called Food for the Hungry. Food for the Hungry currently has staff on the ground in Guatemala who are teaching and empowering the people for growth and change through the power of Jesus.

God has made it clear that Guatemala is our partner, some of the reasons being: cost of trip, length of travel, and families, kids ages 10 and up being able to go. We look forward to seeing how God uses this new partnership to not only impact the communities of El Pueblito, but also our church here in Mission Viejo.

Guatemala Trips

We love to see our campus participate in trips and believe that this is a great opportunity for families to serve in ministry together (our Guatemala teams take kids ages 10 and up). We look forward to seeing how God uses this partnership to not only impact the communities of El Pueblito, but also our church in Mission Viejo.

Our next trip to Guatemala will be August 4-13, 2018.

Ways you can be praying for our Partnership:

  • Please be praying for our six communities.
  • Pray for students returning to school, that they have the means and make the choice to do so.
  • Be in prayer for the Lord to work in powerful ways through the Food for the Hungry staff.

Other Missions Opportunities

If you want to read about other global opportunities ROCKHARBOR is invested in please click here. Much more than short-term mission trips once a year, we are raising up communities to play an ongoing part in the ways God is moving in these countries.

Whether it’s a local prayer gathering or event, a mission trip, supporting our ministry partners, or more, stepping into these communities can happen at any time and in a variety of different ways.
